The SLP is given to an individual after knowing the personal profile, socioeconomic status, climatic conditions, nature of work, likes/dislikes and availability of food. Present and past medical history, family and treatment history, psychological and detailed dietary routine is also very important. Other important diagnostic tools are in-depth general physical examination, pulse diagnosis, and NES scan.
