SLP Pregnancy Food Plan

SLP Pregnancy Food Plan

A pregnant female has to be very careful about what she
eats. In our culture she is guided by the elders of the family
regarding her food intake, which is partially correct. The
objective of my food plan in pregnancy is to maintain their
weight between 7-14 kg, actual weight gain required by a
pregnant female. Whoever gains weight more than this range
keeps on struggling to shed this extra weight throughout her
life. Remember extra weight gained during pregnancy is a
permanent weight gain, and will keep on bouncing back after
every crash diet.
SLP during pregnancy prevents and controls blood pressure,
pregnancy diabetes, swelling or oedema, nausea, vomiting,
acidity, freckles and mood swings. The target baby weight is
about 7lbs, heavy weight babies are at multiple health risks.
Pregnant female is supposed to eat five or six times a day
which include three meals and two or three snacks.
Take pre-breakfast within 2-3 minute of waking up while
sitting on the bed.

Time of intake of pre-breakfast is extremely important for the control of morning sickness or nausea, vomiting, acidity, loss of appetite, constipation and abnormal food cravings.Foods like raisins, grapes, and lemonade taken in pbf controls vomiting, relaxes mind, controls mood swings and it improves baby complexion as well. Besides above mentioned foods you can select from the food list given below. Breakfast should be rich in proteins, grains and fats and use unsalted butter or desi ghee for cooking. Do not take tea or coffee with the food, take only little green tea after your breakfast. Tea should come one hour later or 15 minutes before and milk or coffee three hours later. Snack will come after every three to four hours after the meals. Lunch has to be like routine food like roti+salan, sandwiches, noodles, pasta or strir fried foods depending on your preference. Do take green tea after the lunch. Dinner should be taken before 9p.m., avoid boiled rice, white pita, nan, raw salads and have healthy routine foods. Yakhni, or soup should be part of your meal. Intake of green tea after dinner will manage digestive disorders and bloating. Be punctual about milk intake at morning or evening snack time or about three hours after the dinner, this milk will induce sound sleep and healthy rejuvenation at night.
Remember during pregnancy your dietary pattern, quality of night sleep, stress free mind, religious practices and mild exercise will lead to the birth of a holistically healthy child. Do not forget that your child will be part of the next generation and will be playing his role in society and in nation development too. A child born with multiple nutritional deficiencies suffers from poor physical health, restless mind, behavioral disorders and he will further add to the miseries of an ailing society. Remember medicines, drugs, processed foods, low fat foods,
excess of tea, coffee or cigarettes can affect the DNA of the developing fetus leading to a baby with mental and congenital physical disorders. Please do not follow nutrient deficient crash diets during pregnancy, you will suffer from
chronic backache or early age arthritis. Select your food plan from below mentioned SLP Adult Plan. Be careful about food
rotation and food timings.

Detox Sessions for Better Health

We are swimming in an ocean of chemicals which affect the functions of liver, kidney and lungs. Human body naturally does detoxification on change of weather if it is in a perfect state of health. The current rat race has forced us to lead a mechanical lifestyle which chokes our system with loads of added chemicals. Detoxification along with SLP is helpful for cleansing blood, liver, kidneys, lymphatics, intestines and tissues.

At IHCC we do food, ionic, and frequency detox for physical and emotional body. Our youth is addicted to junk food and their electromagnetic devices, therefore need few sessions of detox monthly to work on their hormonal health. If you have gone through dental procedures, do come for at least five sessions of detox to clean your body from radiation, anaesthesia and drugs.

It is recommended that you get at least 5 sessions of detox at change of weather. Various detox are done for chronic diseases, allergies, obesity, skin diseases, sleep disorders, psychological disorders and drug detox.

SLP PRE-Disease Diagnostics

The objective is to give an idea about an upcoming disease, pre-disease or sub-health. There are multiple physical signs and symptoms of a disease before it invades body, which can’t be diagnosed on routine medical diagnostic test. The tests we do in our lab. are energy or resonance based which can pick up indicators of an upcoming disease. Most accurate pre-disease warnings are observed regarding heart, brain, kidney, breast, joints, and gut health. Status of biological ageing is also predicted.

1. Quantum Resonance Magnetic Analyzer (QRMA)

This scan reveals about 40 tests besides organs, it gives an idea about the level of vitamins, minerals, toxins,
amino acids in your body. QRMA can assess the difference between your current age and biological age and helps the healer in reversal of ageing.

2. 8D NLS Analyser

The user has the whole knowledge in one system, with no pain and needles. 8D can assess the complete details of one or multiple organs at sub health level. Finds allergies and food intolerances and treats them with bio-resonance by sending out harmonizing frequencies with the META Therapy.

3. The NES Health BioEnergetiX WellNES System

It allows you to see beyond your client’s symptoms to clearly distinguish the distortions in information, any
present energy blockages, and recommended nutrition for restoring the Body-Field. NES does energy analysis
by identify energy blockages in the body’s musculoskeletal system and energy channels, as well as analyze the strength of the energy produced by various systems and organs.
Nutritional analysis is done to highlight challenges in absorption and metabolic processes and identify food
sensitivities. It does environmental analysis to detect functional damage to the body-field via specific environmental factors like toxins and EMFs. Emotional and mental analysis identify core emotions, beliefs, and even challenges in an individual’s overall ability to create and actualize in life, those are most prominent or potentially problematic. Also identify past shock and trauma that may still be presenting as conflicts or which are stored in the Body-Field as tissue, cellular or energetic memory.

OUR HAJ A BLISSFUL EXPERIENCE

Haj is one of the five components of Islam and is a 5- days process of give and take between Allah swt and His human creation. Haj is to show Muslim unity, submission to Allah’s Will, and tolerance. It also causes strange detachment from personal, professional and social life. A pilgrim automatically becomes numb for his loved ones for the sake of love for Allah. All global pilgrims connect, learn, appreciate and get strength from each other. Strangely the gender differences finishes during Haj and all individual religious practices become co-practices with no social issues created. On 8th Zilhaj pilgrims have to wear Ahram with strict terms and conditions and on breaking the rules, penalty is to be given.

This year about 2.5 million people performed Haj which started with a collective movement of pilgrims on 8th Zilhaj from Makkah to Mina camps for five nights stay. Imagine this mammoth crowd moving excitedly and happily only and only for the Love of Allah. On 9th the same crowd moves from Mina to Arafat around midnight to perform the most important ritual called Waqoof and to experience Allah, because He comes closer to earth like HE does in Lailatul Qadar. This special reward is only and only for those present in Arafat and HIS presence is from noon to sunset. HE facilitates pilgrims by some special instructions like they have to offer Zohar and Asar together in Arafat and Maghrib and Isha together late after reaching Muzdalfa. Muslims can’t skip their prayers but during Arafat this rule breaks and more time is given for getting connection to Allah. We offered our Zohar and Asar at 12.30 pmand then that time starts when we were supposed to connect to Allah according to our capacity. Arafat is only place where dua or meditation continues for almost six hours. Almost every one feels, hears or visualises something which confirms the presence of Allah during Waqoof Arafat.

That is the time when every one cries explosively and feels Allah as his or her best friend whom we wanted to say sorry, pray for forgiveness, beg for HIS mercy, and our stability to stay on the right path. I was blessed to be part of those highly spiritual moments and I loved that sight of secret conversation, embarrassment, begging, and seeking forgiveness, between a shattered bunda and Allah. I believe level of connection to Allah in Arafat is highly dependent on the amount of purity we carry in our hearts. In my Haj group there were about 6-7 doctors and we were trying to understand scientifically the metaphysical phenomenon going on in Arafat. It was beyond our scientific understanding but most of us felt vibrations, sensation, automatic outburst of tears and goose bumbs which are signs of presence of a mega voltage energy. My heart felt that Allah is happy about the sacrifices pilgrims were going through especially bearing scorching temperatures of 45-50C. Waqoof Arafat makes us feel that objective of Haj is fulfilled. Now again 2.5 millions have to leave Arafat before sunset to reach Muzdalfa, everyone felt special breeze and cloud rumbling around Maghrib prayer.

Overnight stay in Muzdalfa is another test of love for Allah because you have to lie on pebbles or sand under open sky and can’t cover your face (condition of ahram) to hide your embarrassment. Can you ever think of lying on a road or ground under open sky with so many half naked men and fully covered unknown women lying around you. Initially I felt pain of those spiky pebbles or crush but spread a sheet to lie down and I slept for few hours in deep sleep. I still did not understand how I slept under those non favourable factors, probably I was detached from worldly superficiality and wanted to please Allah.

As a Lifestyle Medicine Specialist, I can comment that five days of Haj in fact do an intensive lifestyle modification in our eating habits, sleep routine, too much exercise and carry high stress for the will and love of Allah. Intermittent recitation of rhythmic Lubaik Allah huma labaik, gives energy and reminder for the purpose of Haj or we mark ourselves present in Divine roll call register. Now pilgrims have started getting dirtier, emit various offensive body odours and get tanned skins. Though Allah wants cleanliness in a Muslim but during Haj HE wants us to stay dirty. It is proven to us that how dirty we are internally which we hide by expensive clothing, makeup, hairstyles and expensive perfume. Despite all these difficulties drained and exhausted pilgrims are satisfied, console each other and carry on with the remaining rituals. 10th Zilhaj comes to allow pilgrims to do rammi, goat sacrifice, cutting of hair and then can take shower. That is the Eid day for pilgrims and all feel relieved of performing rukne azam or Waqoof. Next two days pilgrims perform tawaf ziarat and rammi. Rammi or throwing stones on satan is an act of rejecting him holistically.

Tawaf haram is in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim’s act which He has done after completing construction of Kaaba. In tawaf ziarat you have to do Sae, which is in remembrance of Bibi Hajira’s strenuous act of looking for food for her baby Hazrat Ismail. Let us revise this beautiful religious ritual and what it is teaching us.

Under Allah’s orders Prophet Ibrahim left Hazrat Hajira and Hazrat Ismail in Makkah mountains. One day Hazrat Hajira wanted water for her baby but there were no signs of water. When she got desperate, she started walking and running between Safa and Marva mountains. Due to her maternal instinct she was guarding her child by repeatedly looking at the baby Ismail. This pain, struggle, patience, helplessness, and mother’s love was appreciated by Allah and became an important component of Haj and Umra. All mothers can partially understand Her pain but men can’t, therefore all men are also suppose to respect and follow this religious act to complete their Haj/Umra. You can feel the hardness of that act even while walking between airconditioned Safa and Marva. We can understand how Allah loves maternal efforts for her children and compares Himself to a 70 times mother’s love. Hazrat Ismail was blessed with healing, miracle water called Zam Zam.

After completing Haj pilgrims go to Madina, to offer Darood o Salam to Allah’s beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa PBUH. Quran asks us to love, respect and offer Darood o Salam to Prophet Muhammad PBUH, and we have learnt from Quran that Allah wouldn’t have created Universe without creating the Noor Muhammad. One new misconception is intentionally being spread in Madina, that muslims come only for the sake of Masjid, may Allah protect us from this new fitna. Ishq e Muhammad has transformed Madina into a modern city, within the boundaries of Masjid Nabvi you have to speak in low voice, police cars can’t blow their horns even ambulance can’t blow sirens in order to show respect to Prophet Muhammad as per instructions by Allah given in Quran. We all went there only and only for the sake of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and His mosque, luckily we have this clarity in our mind. Our Haj journey completed in Madina and from Jeddah we flew back to Pakistan.

AN UNHAPPY CHILD

I was compelled to write this blog article because of this teenager Rafay Omar’s below mentioned face book post.

“why cant this be in pakistan !!!???. I just moved here and have already had so much stress and anxiety. i know this will open in 2020 but still this is a great thing to do for students who want to have fun in school. I have already been given 4 homework assignments and a test WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL. I would just want to shift to India then. School and lessons have been boring i have been sad every single day. Coming home having to prepare for suprise quiz and revising each and every lesson is so stressful going to school with a heavy bag full of textboooks just makes makes me and my life sadder and harder. Again i just moved here from Hong Kong i didint really like school there either because people used to make fun of me. Still overall the lessons were fun and did not go through any phase of stress and anxiety in HK. Everything was online and my bag was never heavy. I came home with not much homework and if i did it was weekly instead of daily. It was due in a week or 10 days while over here everything is due the next day. Not to mention that there is holiday homework here. Seeing that this school will be based on happiness i hope there will be not much hw and tests not like normal schools in pak and india and i also hope there would be no holiday homework. In my holiday hw i saw the pages and just hit myself in the head straight after i saw the stuff they had given us. We had to read 5 books in 2 months in one which was 544 pages this is not good at all for a child especially if you don’t like the book. As for the math i did not understand one thing and just tore the pages apart. I just threw the whole thing away after that. Again I would really like to shift to india when this school opens but we all know thats not possible. Thumbs up to india I give you a LOT of credit for doing this and you are certainly making much more progress than pak.

This is the only time something like this has been happening in Asia or developing countries. Students in asia do well but have a lot of presssure and anxiety and thats not a very good thing even if you do well in school. Many people across asia have commited suicide because of their exam results or stress. Europe is the best place to go to school especially denmark, finland and netherlands. There are not much tests there and people are always happy there. Europe has done extremely well in terms of education and cleansing. suicide in europe has gone down a lot. Again well done to india for doing this they are certainly doing much better than pakistan

for the post below sorry if i offend pls no lectures after this.”

Addressing the Issues:

Before understanding why children get unhappy, we have to get awareness about a whole child and their philosophy. Happiness is a state of consciousness which is a collective outcome of a healthy body, mind and soul. A child till pubertal age is very sensitive to the energy environment around him/her. The foundation of this energy environment is laid in the womb, and foetus retains in their subconscious memory what ever happened for nine months in internal and external environment of mother. First month and first year of baby’s life play key role in building the foundations of a holistic child.

Whole Child:

wholechild

For a whole child’s optimum growth various factors like type of foods, dietary habits, mode of eating, quality and quantity of sleep and emotional well being are extremely important. Various studies had already proven negative role of parental conflicts in child’s holistic growth. Children relationships with siblings, parents, grand parents, cousins, teachers and class fellows further develop their personality till the age of puberty. Any of the missing factors from the above list lead to a dysfunctional physical, mental, emotional or intellect of a child. This dysfunctional state is reflected in ADHD, Autism, allergies, asthma, stomach disorders, anemia, lethargy, rapid decline of eye sight, screen addictions and ultimately stunted growth with compromised reproductive health.

Stunted Child:

stuntgrowth

Last week a seven years girl with stunted growth came to my clinic, her parents while giving history told me that she took four years to settle in her school. I could read that school phobia on her face in the form of marked paleness and fearful expressions. She stopped crying before going to school because she got exhausted and wasn’t carrying sufficient energy to resist her parents. In the same week a six years old girl came with multiple health issues with a weak eye sight of -14 and she was a worst screen addict as well. In above two cases most of the predisposing factors for poor holistic health were positive. So all of us need to understand the importance of a whole child.

“We seek to ultimately ensure that education no longer views or needs to view health as an extra or adjunct to education, but rather as foundational to an effective education system. Health and education are related. They are interrelated. They are symbiotic.”

—Dr. Gene R. Carter, Emeritus Executive Director, ASCD

The Whole Child philosophy is based on a broad concept that, in order for a child to be educated successfully, he/she must be healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. These descriptors are embedded in the five ASCD ( Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) Whole Child Tenets

ASCD Whole Child Tenets

1-Each student enters school healthy and learns about and practices a healthy lifestyle.

2-Each student learns in an environment that is physically and emotionally safe for students and adults.

3-Each student is actively engaged in learning and is connected to the school and broader community.

4-Each student has access to personalized learning and is supported by qualified, caring adults.

5-Each student is challenged academically and prepared for success in college or further study and for employment and participation in a global environment.

Concept of ‘Home Schooling’ is growing in Pakistan which again reflects the poor environment of schools and poorly trained staff which gives stress to children. I had observed five children of age 5 to 12 years changing holistically on shifting to Home Schooling.

As a nation there is also an urgent need to learn about stunted growth and it’s early signs. Stunting in early life — particularly in the first 1000 days from conception until the age of two – impaired growth has adverse functional consequences on the child. Some of those consequences include poor cognition and educational performance, low adult wages, lost productivity and, when accompanied by excessive weight gain later in childhood, an increased risk of nutrition-related chronic diseases in adult life.

Linear growth in early childhood is a strong marker of healthy growth given its association with morbidity and mortality risk, non-communicable diseases in later life, and learning capacity and productivity. It is also closely linked with child development in several domains including cognitive, language and sensory-motor capacities.

Can stress cause stunted growth?

“If they are taken out of that unhappy situation, the hormone levels recover. Such young people do not necessarily turn into short adults – they just grow more slowly. The danger is that if the stress goes on for long, it can stunt growth permanently.”May 14, 2000

School Bag Syndrome:

bagsyndorm

Another school connected child health issue is ‘School bag Syndrome’ , I was astonished when I first saw trolley driven bags to avoid postural issues. The schools are not ready to decrease book load or home work given to our children, they want to earn money at the cost of life of our kids.

“The use of backpacks has risen dramatically over the past 10 years. Some studies have shown backpack usage to be greater than 90% among school-aged children ages 8-17. As a result, many complaints of back, shoulder, and neck pain have increased secondary to the use of these devices”.

This is high time to work jointly at government level and private level to save our unhealthy children. We have to educate them in happy not energy depleting environment.
